12 Days of Giving, Day 3: A Holiday Mantra

For a time of year when we're supposed to be taking a break and connecting with friends and family, the holidays can really lack the peace and love you'd expect.

This can be a difficult season for many reasons: things busy schedules, poor diet, and stressful shopping trips often take people to their wit's end.

Which is why I'm offering you up a little holiday hack, in the form of a simple sentence. A mantra, typically used in forms of meditation, is a short phrase or sentence that can be repeated in times of stress. Repeating a meaningful mantra reminds us to breathe, slow down, and get present: the perfect antidote to holiday stress.

My mantra is the one you see above - yours can be anything that makes you smile, relax, and/or exhale.
