A Day of Detox: Your 10 am Smoothie
Today we'll talk about a 10 am snack that'll keep you brain engaged and your stress low as you work through your morning.
Blueberries have awesome anti-oxidant properties, cinnamon is anti-inflammatory, and the hemp heart protein helps all the nutrients absorb.
Wild Blueberry Stress-Buster Smoothie
- 2 cups wild blueberries, fresh or thawed
- 1 banana
- 1 1/2 cups unsweetened, non-diary ‘milk’ such as my coconut beverage
- 1/4 cup hemp hearts
- 1-2 tbsp honey
- dash cinnamon or nutmeg
- 4 fresh mint leaves
- 1 tsp sunflower lecithin
- 1 tbsp goji berries, soaked
Blend all ingredients including lecithin and goji berries until smooth.
Pour into 2 glasses and season with a dash of spice.
Add mint leaves for decoration if desired and serve immediately.
Makes 3 cups.
